"I started writing and thinking about the second record from the second I cut the first one," Josh tells The Boot. "I think you have to keep your mind on it and where it's going to go. I have to beat the first record. That's kind of a challenge, but it's a fun challenge. So I'm just trying to write and kind of put a plan together in my head." Click HERE for the full article.

Brad Paisley took his H2O World Tour to Chicago this past Friday and played to a sold-out crowd of over 25,000, making it the second consecutive year that he has sold out First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre. The following evening the tour went down the road to Moline and performed before another capacity crowd.
Josh hit the country music scene with a bang last year with his breakout hit, “Beer on the Table.” The song went on to become a Top 20 hit for the Wisconsin native, and his current single, “Way Out Here” (also the title track of his debut album), is following hot on its heels. Country music icon Hank Williams Jr. announces the continuation of The Rowdy Friends Tour with a variety of special guests to join him on stage including Jamey Johnson, Eric Church, Colt Ford, Gretchen Wilson, Lee Brice, Josh Thompson, Sunny Sweeney and The Grascals. The shows will start in Evansville, Indiana, on September 17th, and will conclude in Raleigh, North Carolina, on October 23rd.

As trucks, motorcycles, 4-wheelers and a bevy of rabid fans lined up at the Owen Country Fair Grounds in the small town of Owenton, KY at last week’s Froggy 104.9FM Field Party, headlining act Josh Thompson pulled up to the stage riding in a blue Chevy pick-up truck. After playing a two-hour set of songs from his debut album Way Out Here, fans hollered for more and Josh returned to the stage to perform a three song encore.
On Friday night, the small town of Owenton, Kentucky, showed how to throw a perfect field party filled with music and memories. Froggy 104.9 FM out of Frankfort held their second annual Froggy Field Party at the Owen County Fairgrounds. It was in conjunction with the Owen County Fair.
