After a successful ride as 1/3 of Trick Pony (with Heidi Newfield and Keith Burns), Ira Dean is set to release his debut solo album in the coming months. With radio interested in what he has to offer, Ira is set to release his debut single for Average Joes Entertainment with this really strong single. "Somethin' 'Bout A Sunday" was co-written by Ira and RCA Nashville's Josh Thompson and the song was produced by Ira himself.
Josh Thompson made a solid debut in 2010 with Way Out Here, an album that had a little bit of rock in its honky-tonk. At times, he recalled the criminally underrated Trent Tomlinson (always a plus in my book), also with traces of David Lee Murphy's meat-and-potatoes country-rock. Having moved from Columbia to sister label RCA in 2011, Thompson is ready to begin that all-important step known as the "sophomore album."
Josh Thompson was camera ready in Nashville Wednesday (Jan. 4), filming the music video for his latest single, 'Comin' Around.' The Boot was on-set to get you all the scoop before the video's debut.
"I usually hate surprises, but this has been really fun," Josh told The Boot. "We're shooting with some green screens, and I've never done that. We're out in the middle of a park, and half of the people are naked. I'm just kidding ... about the park. [laughs]"
