Tickets are selling for country music singer Josh Thompson's concert Feb. 18 at the Highlands County Fair Convention Center.

Described as an "embodiment of hard-working, blue-collar grit," Thompson has become known for his debut tune, "Beer on the Table," as well as "Way Out Here" and his latest, "Comin' Around."

Thompson goes on stage at 8 p.m., after J.J. McCoy opens the musical evening at 7.

Tickets are $15 for general seating and $20 for pit seating if purchased before Feb. 10.

After that, tickets will be $21 for general seating and $26 for pit seating.

Tickets are available online at www.hcfcc.net; at the fair office from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; or at the Beer Garden after the fair opens on Feb. 10.

All tickets purchased before Feb. 18 will include admission to the 75th annual Highlands County Fair on the day of the concert.

"From his songwriting that ran throughout his Top 10 debut album, 'Way Out Here,' to the dynamic live shows that have earned him opening slots for such established headliners as Dierks Bentley and CMA Entertainer of the Year winner Brad Paisley, Josh Thompson's passionate performances and tireless work ethic have made him the epitome of the musical road warrior, playing nearly 250 shows in 2010 alone," his biography states.
